Ryzen 7900 and 7950 CPUs might see a significant price drop when the Zen5 CPUs are released. But they might not. The advice to wait and see is sound. My plan is to build either a new AM5 video/audio production PC or a new primary gaming PC once we see where Zen4 prices go. Which one I build, and around which CPU, is a tough decision since I already have a 13700K (with a 280mm AIO) system that is very good for either use case. My sense is that the 7950X will become a price-to-performance bargain if the Ryzen 9 9xxx chips prove to be 15% or more faster. There's no reason for 99% of us to buy a Gen 5 NVMe drive. A storage drive that needs active cooling to function properly is just plain silly.

Amd already said the 9000 chips won't be better than 7800X3D for gaming but its always better to wait since it will be more polished than 7000 series

I just build my pc last week and was a little worried when i started watching the video, now i know i just messed up on the case. Everything else seems fine.

From my understanding with Ryzen CPUs is X for work, X3D for gaming. Also it probably won't be until '25 when the price on the 9000 series chips will be worth buying.

Meanwhile my 2060 super runs majority of games at 1440 100-110 fps and stays at a cool 65 degrees. Why are so many “new” cards giving the same performance as old ass cards.

apparently the 7800X3D is too weak for the 4070 super in 1080p but its fine in 1440p so thats good, thats the combo im going for since it will be fine for me and i can upgrade still since this cpu can even handle the 4090 and still be gpu bottlenecked

Interesting build. I would have opted for a faster CPU over some of the cosmetic choices. As of June 2024, buyers in the USA can sacrifice some cosmetics and make a few more budget friendly options to get a Ryzen 7700 & 7900 XT for under $1,500.

l loved this build. I am thinking to build my pc with the same gpu and cpu used in the video however is there a prefered or better motherboard within or close to 200 dollars which completely fits in with the cpu and gpu?

The 7900 XT is capable of 4K both with and without FSR. Especially if you aren’t trying to push 144 to 165 fps and play mainly single player cinematic games

Does a dual fan 2060 fit?

Forgive my ignorance, but would thermals and everything else with the cpu/gpu be okay if I ran these games at 1080p. Is there such thing as too much power for lower screen resolution or would it just run way smoother? Thanks and sorry again for the dumb question.

If you want a really budget card for the low low get the AMD FirePro W7100. I good condition used one is like 50`70 bucks but can be cheaper. Runs everything fine just use thermal paste

got a ryzen 5 7600x and rx6800 and i run 1440p perfectly. MSI b650 tomohawk wifi, 32gb 6000mhz ram, spent about 1000 and this build should last me some years.
